In 2019, we jointly developed the LMT personal identification and signing platform, which makes it easier for every resident of Latvia to confirm their identity and sign documents with a qualified electronic signature.

As most of people use Smart-ID, probably more than eParaksts, it was decided to introduce Smart-ID, which, in addition to eParaksts, allows to identify the person who wants the pharmacy to process their e-prescriptions. Smart-ID, unlike the standardized OAuth type eSignature, uses a different type of identification mechanism, so its implementation requires additional resources, especially the requirement to register the IP address from which identification requests are made. SK is very responsive and competent, however, the use of service based on IP addresses could be changed. The introduction of Smart-ID gives the customer the opportunity to choose the most convenient way of identification (Smart-ID or eSignature), thus expanding the range of customers.

We have been using the Smart-ID solution offered by SK ID Solutions AS Latvian branch for more than a year. As soon as we started working on the creation of a digital form of the Neste fuel private card, it was clear that the safest, most convenient and suitable tool for customer authentication and signing of applications, as well as fuel card contracts, is Smart-ID. Currently, we use Smart-ID solution both to identify potential B2C Neste card customers and sign private card applications, to authenticate customers on our document signing portal, as well as to sign fuel card agreements. The Smart-ID solution has significantly improved neste's private card customer experience - the ability to remotely apply for a Neste card and digitally sign a fuel card agreement, as well as reduced the number of paper applications to be processed manually and contributed to the quality level of Neste customer data. Our recommendation to the Smart-ID team, based on neste's customer questions and feedback, to further emphasize and remind about the differences and advantages of the basic and full version of Smart-ID, to supplement the information on the website, how customers of other banks can apply for the solution and proactively inform the customer about moving and updating the Smart-ID version to the full version after the phone change.

We're extremely happy with SK's services and customer support. It's wonderfully convenient that SK provides a complete range of authentication and signing services all in one place! We utilize all of SK's services, including Smart-ID, Mobile-ID, Validity confirmation, Timestamping, and Organisation Certificates. The customer service is consistently speedy and friendly. We make use of these services both within our internal systems, such as Virosoft (our personnel information system), where employees can access salary information, and our document management system for signing, as well as in the financial system.
